ARTISTIC POLICY
The company’s work synthesises spoken word, movement, text, film and music to create an imaginative and inspiring narrative. It assimilates culturally diverse styles such as hip hop, contemporary, jazz-fusion and African-Caribbean dance forms into a unique fresh and exciting physical language that has something to say.

CURRENT PRODUCTION
Artikulate Double bill programme including Body Language and Single Reflex. In Body Language a TV salesman struggles to come to terms with his reality as he is consumed by his new invention, the 20 Screen Plasma Screen Dream. Combing film, spoken word and funk style and inspired physical theatre. In Single Reflex another dream date shatters and twists into a recurring pattern of tragedy. Weaving layers of the unexpected with physical theatre, boogaloo and poppin’, and incorporating spy camera technology, the solo ricochets between the real and surreal. (Body Language 28 mins, Single Reflex 18 mins, 1 on stage, 5 on the road).

FUTURE PRODUCTION
Boxin (working title) Boxin breaks down the barriers between dance, parkour, physical theatre and film. The set is a continually evolving urban landscape, providing the springboard for an exploration into the mental and physical barriers that are placed on us for our safety and protection. (90 mins, 5 on stage, 9 on the road)

WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY
One-off workshops or longer residencies which can be tailored to suit all ages from 10 years to adult, as well as dance professionals. Activity can incorporate workshops in popular dance and music styles such as hip hop, funk style, jazz-fusion, including contemporary dance forms. Workshops can be focussed on a single artform, or multi-artform (eg. involving dance, spoken word, DJing and graffiti art).
