ARTISTIC POLICY To make work that is accessible to a broad cross-section of people that is driven first and foremost by context and location, whether for a city wide project or a devised work with a group of non-performers.
CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Blip A street-based performance incorporating the use of public telephone boxes, a portable smoke machine and costumes to transform the performer into historical figures from the city. (1 on the road, durational work)
Terrestrial A sited or street-based work. A one-to-one guided performance that tracks the movement of the performer(s) using a telescope and walkman soundtrack. (1 on the road, durational work)
A Working History of Slapstick Performance lecture, A-Z of early silent slapstick including props and extracts of work made over the past 10 years, an alternative review of practice. (60 mins, 1 on the road)
FUTURE PRODUCTION Bar Room Brawl An interactive performance where the audience create a bar room brawl reminiscent of the Wild West. Complete with costumes, balsa wood chairs and sugar glass bottles.
WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY Workshops especially with young people and community groups from one day to one week, talks and post-show discussions.
