ARTISTIC POLICY Heart ‘n Soul is an interdisciplinary arts organisation, led by artists with learning disabilities. Its primary art form is music, but it also creates physical/visual theatre, dance, film and digital arts. Heart ‘n Soul is renowned as the creator of The Beautiful Octopus Club cabaret nightclub event.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Heart 'n Soul Unplugged A live music show with an intimate, acoustic setting. Soul, jazz and world-music vibes complemented by a rich digital landscape. (60 mins, 7 on stage, 11 on the road)
Heart 'n Soul Clubs Posse Six new pop, R&B and hip hop tracks written, produced and performed by Heart 'n Soul's stars against a dynamic visual backdrop. A DJ extends the entertainment before and after the live show. (Up to 120 mins, including 90 mins DJs/VJs and 30 mins live performance, 5 on stage, 8 on the road)
Going Off A new experimental piece of theatre directed by Guy Dartnell. (8 on stage, 11 on the road)
Various Artists Duos of Heart ‘n Soul musicians performing original material live in small-scale settings including conferences. (Up to 30 mins, 2 on stage, 3 on the road)
FUTURE PRODUCTION Celebrity Shotgun Short film directed by Mat Fraser. A fantasy soap opera with a twist. (5 mins)
WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY Heart ‘n Soul provides a wide range of wrap-around activities tailored to the precise needs of the booker. This could be an after show discussion, a session in ‘careers in music’ for people with learning disabilities or consultancy for arts professionals wanting to set up and/or develop cultural activities involving artists and audiences with learning disabilities.
