ARTISTIC POLICY
FrenchMottershead creates live work that specifically explores ideas of identity, social ritual and the everyday public and private realms in which they are played out. Through performative events, photographs, instructions and maps, the work subverts sites and engages audiences complicitly in the creative act.

Club Class A performance experience with full audience participation, creating microperformances that explore the unwritten rules governing social conduct. English only. (4 hours, 6 on the road plus local support)

Shops Series of performative group photo-shoots, inviting customers and staff of local shops to participate in an urban exhibition. Multi-lingual. (Half-day, 2 on the road plus local photographer and translator)

People Series An interactive microperformance game for art festivals, galleries and social events, which creates an experimental social milieu. Multi-lingual. (Variable duration, 2 on the road plus local translator)
