ARTISTIC POLICY Chris Goode’s work springs from a total commitment to theatre as a radically live, unpredictable, unrepeatable encounter between artists and audience. Approaching the deeply emotional through the brain, and the vividly intellectual through the heart, the work presents daring ideas, sometimes in a challenging way, but always in the context of an informal storytelling style characterised by warmth and accessibility – so that even the darkest moments contribute to an ultimately uplifting experience.
REVIEW EXTRACTS 'Outstanding … Beautifully judged in the way it suddenly turns the emotional screws … Small but remarkable.' The Guardian (Longwave)
'Not so much a theatrical experience as a biochemical one. …Genuinely funny… serious, tender and unironic.' The Independent (Kiss of Life)
CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Longwave Bleakly comic drama about two scientists stranded together in a shack, with only an old radio for company. Performed without dialogue. (75 mins, 3–4 on the road)
