ARTISTIC POLICY Blast Theory is renowned internationally as one of the most adventurous artists’ groups using interactive media to ask questions about the ideologies present in the information that envelops us. Mixing audiences across the internet, live performance and digital broadcasting, Blast Theory aims to create groundbreaking new forms of performance and interactive art.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Day of the Figurines Interactive Installation. Part board game, part secret society, players select a figurine and develop their character which is placed in a model of an imaginary city. From then on, the game is played via mobile phone where events happen and stories unfold each day. (Up to 1000 participants, duration up to 24 days)
Can You See Me Now? Interactive online performance. Thrilling, live game of chase played online and on the streets of a real city. Online players can exchange tactics to outrun Blast Theory performers who are tracked by satellites on the real city streets trying to catch you. (Unlimited global audience/participants, duration up to 6 hours per day, Blast Theory will work with local artists)
The Potential Thief Performance Installation. New performance work exploring the relationship between the individual and cinematic image. In a kind of karaoke choreography, performers and audience members negotiate one another’s movements as they copy excerpts from films. Audience size dependent on venue (Blast Theory artists will invite 3 audience members to join each performance, scale and duration are flexible)
Trucold and Other Works Exhibition/Installation. Selection of videos, interactive computer-based work and archival documentation of recent internationally acclaimed works. (Scale and duration are flexible)
