ARTISTIC POLICY To present experimental, new Scottish work, often site specific and with strong visual values as well as lesser known works by modern classic writers. Recent productions have included: Inferno, a promenade piece based on Dante’s epic poem, performed throughout a labyrinth of tunnels and corridors with a cast of 100; Beckett, The Basement Tapes, a promenade production of Krapp’s Last Tape; and Rockaby; I Confess in which 20 audience members experience one-to-one confessions from 20 actors.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Spend A Penny One-to-one performances of eight new monologues set in toilet cubicles. Writers commissioned include Liz Lochead, David Harrower, James Kelman, and Frank Deasy. (only 24 audience members per evening, 8 on stage, 10 on the road, site-specific to toilet cubicles)
Snuff Written and directed by Davey Anderson (one of the National Theatre of Scotland funded Unmissable productions). Investigating housing scheme disillusion, asylum seeking, and the Iraq war, Snuff is a contemporary and brutal studio theatre piece. (2 on stage, 2 on the road, studio theatre production)
