ARTISTIC POLICY
Akram Khan seeks to establish a new tradition of storytelling by drawing on influences from the North Indian classical dance form kathak, Indian classical music and western contemporary dance and music.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Sacred Monsters Collaboration with French ballerina Sylvie Guillem, featuring additional choreography by Lin Hwai-Min, artistic director of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and music composed by Philip Sheppard. (75 mins without interval, 7 on stage including 2 dancers and 5 musicians)

Zero Degrees Collaboration between Akram Khan and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Les Ballets C de la B, Belgium), sculptor Antony Gormley and composer Nitin Sawhney. (70 mins, 6 on stage including 4 musicians)

Third Catalogue (classical Kathak) The final part of a trilogy based on Hindu mythological gods, including the main solos from Akram Khan's previous Kathak programmes Polaroid Feet, Ronin and a new solo choreographed by Kumudini Lakhia, one of India's leading Kathak artists. (75 mins with interval, 7 on stage including 5 musicians, 1 dancer and 1 actor)
