REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘The thing about Bourne is that he never puts a foot wrong and this time he steps into an exciting new territory of sumptuous satirical dance-making which surely we've all been waiting for.’ The Times (Dorian Gray)

‘Matthew Bourne yet again displaying his talent for innovation, his mastery of dance, and the superb integration of choreography and design which is characteristic of New Adventures.’ The British Theatre Guide (Edward Scissorhands)

‘This new plot is much too good to give away… body language so bright with wit and so fraught with emotional subtext that it’s hard to believe not a line of dialogue has been spoken.’ The Guardian (The Car Man)

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Swan Lake Now firmly crowned as a modern day classic, this iconic production is perhaps best known for replacing the traditional female corps de ballet with a menacing male ensemble. The production blends dance, humour and spectacle with extravagance, to create a provocative and powerful Swan Lake for our times. Billed as a family show. (140 mins including 20 min interval, 27 on stage each night, 55 on the road.)

Dorian Gray Set in the image-obsessed world of celebrity and popular culture, this production tells the story of an exceptionally alluring young man who makes a pact with the devil. Some suggested scenes of adult nature. (110 mins including interval, 11 on stage, 3 standbys each performance,33 on the road.)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Cinderella 2010 (opens Christmas 2010 at Sadler’s Wells Theatre). Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella has Prokofiev's haunting score at its heart and takes its audiences through a magical night in war torn London. The award-winning production is heart-stopping and Matthew Bourne creates a unique and unforgettable depiction of a familiar and beloved fairytale. This production is suitable for all ages. (Running tme tbc, 28 on stage, 49 on the road.)

WRAP-AROUND
In 2008 New Adventures created the charity RE:BOURNE, which aims to reach audiences who may have previously isolated themselves from the dance world. RE:BOURNE works with young individuals, both male and female, introducing them to dance as an accessible artform, triggering creative thought, developing personal and social wellbeing through dance and highlighting the contemporary relevance of dance in today’s society. RE:BOURNE also aims to weave dance into education, discovering unearthed talent along the way. Through its workshops and programmes, RE:BOURNE endeavours to nurture individuals who are considering dance as a career, by encouraging the development of the necessary skills needed to become a well rounded artist, with the hope that these individuals would eventually grow to be valued creators contributing to the dance world.  RE:BOURNE also supports New Adventures by responding to demands for wrap-around activity while productions are on tour in the UK and internationally.
