Stockholm By Bryony Lavery. Treading a fine line between tenderness and cruelty, fantasy and reality, Stockholm reveals a relationship unravelling. It’s beautiful, but it’s not pretty. Stockholm delivers an extraordinary perspective on the nature of modern love. (70 mins, no interval, 2 on stage, 5 on the road, includes strong language, violence and sexually explicit content, suitable for age 16+.)
Othello by William Shakespeare, adapted by Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett. An electrifying take on Shakespeare’s gripping thriller-tragedy. Fusing a taut adaptation of the classic text with its trademark hard-hitting choreography, Frantic Assembly exposes prejudice, danger and fear in 21st-century Britain. (100 mins, no interval, 9 on stage, 13 on the road, includes violence, age 14+.)
In addition to their work on stage, the company runs an extensive programme of activity to introduce young people to physical theatre and develop their performance skills and confidence. The Creative Learning Programme consists of workshops, creative residencies and teacher training, which explore devising and physicality or current productions. Frantic Assembly also run a Training Programme for aspiring professionals consisting of workshops with the Artistic Directors in devising and physicality.
