ARTISTIC POLICY The Arches stages new work, physical and visual theatre, site-specific work, text, and live art – in a style that is immediate, raw, provocative, and courageous. We constantly aim to use the unique atmospherics of our building, making work that responds to our cavernous caves and dark recesses. Recent artists that have produced work with the Arches include: Megan Barker, Nic Green, Cora Bissett, and Murray Wason.
REVIEW EXTRACTS Trilogy: Part Three is an engagingly quirky, celebratory excursion into feminism…A never to be forgotten moment. The Herald **** (Trilogy: Part Three) The show has a tremendous rich sensuality that both reflects and celebrates the powerful, earthy energy of the story. The Scotsman **** (Amada) Wason…makes potent poetry out of the commonplace and banal. A work you could see over and over, and find more and different elements each time. The Herald **** (The Last Drop) Blisteringly good…considerable edge, poetic imagery and dark, twisting comedy. Megan Barker is, already, a name to watch. The Herald **** (Pit)
