CURRENT PRODUCTIONS When the Lights Went Out The story of the Diwali Festival. Using Participatory Theatre techniques, two performers draw children into the adventures of the legendary lovers, Sita and Rama, Hanuman the wondrous monkey king, and the terrifying ten-headed demon Ravana. They vividly bring to life the magical world of the Circular City and the demon island of Lanka. For ages 3 to 6 years. Running time 50 minutes. Number on stage 2, on tour 3.
WRAP-AROUND TARA productions have accompanying Teacher Education Resource Packs, post-show discussions and curriculum related interactive theatre workshops. Workshops can be run as part of longer residencies to support audience development and education programmes. On occasions Jatinder Verma and Claudia Mayer are available to run masterclasses in cross-cultural theatre practise.
