ARTISTIC POLICY Robin Deacon is an artist, writer, and filmmaker based in the UK. Working since the early 1990s, much of his work encompasses live performance, with a series of performed lectures that explore journalistic and documentary approaches to arts practice. His work is characterised by a humorous and often satirical approach to the subject matter.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Dispatches A residency based performance concept utilising a journalistic approach to devising. In each instance, a performance is produced simultaneously, and in response to a given country’s election campaign. (45 – 60 minutes/durational, 1- 2 people on the road) Prototypes A performance lecture concerned with the interconnection of architecture, memory, location, the passage of time, and the process of ageing through the metaphor of train travel. (60 minutes 1-3 people on the road) Approximating the Art of Stuart Sherman A series of re-enacted performances based on the works of the late American artist Stuart Sherman. (60 – 80 minutes, 1 – 8 people on the road)
WRAP-AROUND A series of contextualising lectures and practical workshops are available in relation to specific performances and the artist’s general practice. This can also include after-show discussions and residencies.
