Out of Joint is a national and international touring theatre company dedicated to the development and production of new writing and occasional reappraisals of classic plays. It has premiered work by leading writers, including David Hare and Caryl Churchill, and launched the careers of first-time writers such as Mark Ravenhill and Stella Feehily. Out of Joint regularly co-produces work with such companies as the National Theatre and The Royal Court.
Filled with great humour and pathos, beautiful and surprising music, memorable characters and many terrific performances, The Convict’s Opera is an absolute must see.
This is a brilliant piece of entertainment: crisp, funny, sceptical and generous.
