CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Infinity New work by Australian Dance Theatre’s Garry Stewart. A highly-charged, dramatic work that draws upon gymnastics and yoga, exploring the singularly human aspiration and hope that we might exist, in some form, forever. (25 mins approx, 14 on stage.)
Constant Speed Inspired by the fizz and sparkle of molecules ricocheting in space, Mark Baldwin’s Constant Speed is performed to the luxuriant music of Franz Lehar. (30 mins approx, 22 on stage.)
Swamp Winner of the 2005 Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production, choreographed by Michael Clark and set to music by Wire. (20 mins approx, 8 on stage.)
Dark Elegies Created in 1937 by Antony Tudor, this is a masterwork from the Rambert repertoire. Performed to a Mahler song cycle, this emotionally charged ballet is a timeless exploration of grief and mourning. (30 mins approx, 12 on stage.)
Swansong Christopher Bruce’s classic is as relevant and as topical today as when it was first created in 1987. Its theme of torture and interrogation is set to move and inspire a whole new generation of dance audiences. (30 mins approx, 3 on stage.)
Anatomica 3# Canadian choreographer André Gingras explores the idea of the human body as an exhibition site in this high energy new work. (30 mins approx, 18 on stage.)
L’eveil New work by Rambert dancer Melanie Teall, explores images of femininity through time from Greek mythology to the present day and performed to sumptuous songs by Kurt Weill and Leslie Bricusse. (8 mins approx, 6 on stage.)
Gran Partita Capturing the beauty and verve of the music, Karole Armitage creates an emotional and dramatic piece set to Mozart’s heart-melting piece of the same name. (30 mins approx, 12 on stage.)
