ARTISTIC POLICY Since 1992, Random Dance, resident company at Sadler’s Wells, London, has researched, created and performed boundary-breaking work throughout the world. Often collaborating with a range of artists, practitioners and scientists outside of conventional realms of making dance, the company’s work is radical, pioneering and risk-taking. Yet always at the centre of this interdisciplinary work is choreographer Wayne McGregor’s consuming passion for the human body and a basic desire to create visceral, physically beautiful dances that communicate powerfully and emotionally to audiences.
REVIEW EXTRACTS ‘Extraordinary new collaboration… fundamental and huge… a work impossible to categorise.’ The Guardian (Amu)
‘McGregor’s driving, volatile choreography is so hyper-limber that it almost seems to occur at the cellular level.’ Debra Craine, The Times
‘Shards of feverish, unpredictable movement ricochet through Wayne McGregor’s choreography with the force of an unleashed cyclone.’ Los Angeles Times
