ARTISTIC POLICY
Conceived by Jyll Bradley, The Fragrant Project is a unique international art project which explores the stories, rites and exchanges that occur when a flower is cut and placed in the human hand. No two Fragrant projects are ever the same, with artist Jyll Bradley originating new works unique to the place, people and flowers she finds in each location. These works vary from large participatory installations made with flowers in site-specific locales, to photographic works in galleries.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
'There’s the exuberance of Jyll Bradley’s panoramic arrangement of cut flowers, curving across the ground floor, filling it with scent and colour.' The Guardian

FUTURE PRODUCTION
New Fragrant projects are in development in the UK in Liverpool, Newlyn, and internationally in Israel and Ireland.

WRAP-AROUND
Fragrant is based on the premise of exchange between people through the medium of flowers, so direct involvement with different individuals and communities is essential. Direct participation involves a range of practices including flower arranging, story telling and photography.
