ARTISTIC POLICY
Jonzi D Productions’ mission is to create and tour original high-quality middle- to large-scale hip hop theatre productions collaborating with artists from across and outside the hip hop culture both in the UK and internationally. It aims to be a catalyst for the continuing development of hip hop theatre through workshops and professional artistic development programmes. Artistic Director Jonzi D is one of the most recognised faces of hip hop culture in the UK.

CURRENT PRODUCTION
TAG…just writing my name Hip hop theatre show about a young obsessive graffiti writer in search of acceptance. Featuring rap poetry and five of the UK's finest breakers and poppers, exploring physical calligraphy to literally bring graffiti to life. Directed by Jonzi D with music by: DJ Pogo. (75 mins, no interval, 6 on stage, 9–10 on road, day-before get-in.)

FUTURE PRODUCTION
Marcus The Sadist A Faustian tale about the tragic life of a talented, precocious lyricist. A middle-scale production influenced loosely by the Marquis de Sade and the experiences of London emcee Silent Eclipse. Directed by Jonzi D with music from saxophonist/rapper Soweto Kinch. (To be developed in spring 2008.)

WRAP-AROUND
A range of workshops in hip hop dance styles, rapping and MC-ing, lyrically motivated movement, physical calligraphy and other hip-hop theatre devices/techniques. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Rap and lyrically motivated movement workshops are ideal to help people become more confident in using and experimenting with English language, rhyming and expressing language and ideas in a physical form. Post-show discussions and masterclasses can be added to any performance and tailored for a range of audiences.
