Award-winning theatre company Hoipolloi creates a variety of new work – visually and physically dynamic, full of imagination and comedy. The company makes truly popular and accessible theatre that entertains a broad audience. Shows tour to various venues nationally and internationally.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Floating The fantastical tale of the island that floated away, presented using mixed-up media.  Winner of a Total Theatre Award 2006. (70 mins, 2 on stage, 3–4 on the road.)

Story of a Rabbit A comic and curiously uplifting show celebrating the complexities of death. Winner of a Fringe First Award 2007. Co-production with the New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich. (75 mins, 2 on stage, 3–4 on road.)

My Uncle Arly Visually inspired journey through the life of Edward Lear, England’s celebrated poet. Includes song and poetry, designed for children and adults alike. (65 mins, 5 on stage, 8 on the road.)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
The Doubtful Guest A beautifully comic and absurdly dark production inspired by the book by Edward Gorey about an uninvited and strange fantastical creature which finds its way into a normal household throwing the family into chaos. Suitable for adults and children. In association with Watford Palace Theatre. (80 mins, 6 on stage, 8 on the road.)
