ARTISTIC POLICY
Malaysian-born Francesca Beard is a London-based poet, performing spoken word to audiences all over the UK and the world. She tours her one-woman show, Chinese Whispers, produced by Apples and Snakes, and various bespoke spoken word pieces. She has written for BBC radio and for the Royal Court. She is currently developing a new show, London Tales (working title).

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Chinese Whispers A show about identity, set in London, at the start of the 21st century, in a city where daily, over 300 languages are spoken, arguably the most multicultural city in the world. It asks the questions: Who am I? Where are we from? Why are we here? What makes us laugh? And which would you rather be, Hamlet or Buffy the Vampire Slayer? (65 mins, 2 on the road.)

Francesca Beard is a vastly experienced workshop leader who has many years experience of devising writing and performance workshops with a wide range of groups both as wrap-around activity for Chinese Whispers and as stand alone activity.
