ARTISTIC POLICY
Cardboard Citizens has forged a reputation for innovative, interactive, social theatre. It is the only UK professional theatre company working with homeless and ex-homeless people, including refugees and asylum seekers, as creators, participants and audience. The stories this experience gives access to, together with the company’s roots in forum theatre, yield a distinctive theatricality and an authentic aesthetic.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘This is one of the best productions of Büchner’s classic un-finished play I have ever seen. Why is this? Because company and play are so perfectly matched.’ The Guardian (Woyzeck)

‘Adrian Jackson's production of Timon works because of its grasp of the raw essentials.’ The Guardian (Timon of Athens)

‘It has the buzz of a true theatrical event.' The Times (Pericles)

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Woyzeck Cardboard Citizens’ exploration of the down-and-out in classic literature continues with its interpretation of Georg Büchner’s modernist masterpiece. (90 mins, 6 on stage, 10 on the road.)

Pericles Promenade version of Shakespeare's tale of loss, exile and reconciliation. Set as if in an asylum-seeker holding centre, incorporating testimony from real-life refugees and migrants. Originally co-produced with the RSC, the production includes local participation elements. (140 mins, 12 on stage, max 20 on the road.)

FUTURE PRODUCTION
The Good Person of Szechwan By Bertolt Brecht.
