PERMANENT STAFF Artistic Director/Dancer/Choreographer Anushiye Yarnell
ARTISTIC POLICY Anushiye Yarnell’s performance works create an alternative territory for the audience and performer to co-habit. She unfolds a dimension synergising fantasy and reality, reconstructing fragments from the realm of everyday life into existential, functional daydreaming. The frictional romance between choreographed and improvised movement generates a process of transformation, a kind of deliberate, accidental self-deconstruction. Her works draw on personal experience, past and future mythologies, notions of paradise and civilisation, dreams, and cultural diversity.
