For more than a decade Tubalaté has been one of the UK’s leading professional brass ensembles and has been at the forefront of instrumental and repertory development. The wide range of styles and flexibility of performance has gained the ensemble an international reputation for promoting the dynamic development of brass chamber music.
Tubalaté actively encourage educational projects, working in collaboration with organisations such as The Society for the Promotion of New Music (SPNM) and the British Council. The quartet offers a range of educational concerts and workshops, and has given master classes at major music conservatoires including the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the St. Petersburg (Russia) and Riga (Latvia) Conservatoires.
Tubalaté is equally at ease working with mainstream school children, people with special needs and specialist music schools and academies. The educational experience is presented in a professional, communicative and approachable manner enhanced by the ensemble’s high standards of performance.
