Music Education Homepage
Paragon Ensemble

Paragon Ensemble run a highly developed Community and Education Programme as an integral part of its overall artistic policy with projects involving members of the Ensemble, composers and the best practitioners from other art forms.

The programme aims to increase the awareness and understanding of music, particularly contemporary music, as being an enjoyable and enriching activity with real social benefits for the participating groups and communities. The many and varied projects range in length and scale to suit the needs of the participating groups.

There is a strong emphasis on creative and improvisational skills and formal composition and performance techniques in close collaboration with education institutions and authorities, including the provision for a public platform for first time composers and performers. The Ensemble also runs developmental community music projects involving a wide range of community groups of young people, adults and people with special needs.
