Twenty years of experience marks the Electric Voice Theatre’s work of integrating performance, outreach and collaborative projects. All productions are designed to facilitate all kinds of outreach work with schools, further education, community, special needs and audience groups including all ages and abilities.
One day workshops have included: Improvisation with audiences – as at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford, in collaboration with Scottish artist Keith McIntyre, and in the Children's Concerts given by the Artistic Director, Frances M Lynch; Scratch Choirs – as for Judith Weir's Scipio's Dream, where local people of mixed age and ability attended regular sessions to prepare to perform as part of the production; and Composition & Performance Projects in which participants create works that they perform alongside The Electric Voice Theatre programme. This is currently being done in a very compact form with the SHE project which is a series of solo voice and electronics events involving direct local involvement from composers, singers and audience. The programmes are designed for different audiences in the UK and worldwide.
