who we work with

The Literature work of the British Council can best be achieved through partnerships. These can be with individuals, or with national organisations, such as the the British Centre for Literary Translation, who work with us on our Literary Translation website. Some partnerships are long term, such as that with the publishers of our annual anthology of New Writing, which introduces new work by a wide range of writers to an international audience, and others are project based lasting for the length of the project. We also work with key societies such as the Society of Authors and information sources such as the Poetry Library. Partnerships are the key to much of our success.
