Writers and their Work is a series of accessible and clearly written books containing brief but expert and rigorous critical examinations of the works of distinguished writers and schools of writing. Each title contains an extensive and up-to-date bibliography. A new series of titles has recently been launched in association with Northcote House Publishers.

The Contemporary Writers website contains UK and Commonwealth author information with biographies, bibliographies, critical reviews, prizes and photographs. Now with over 500 authors and with 10-20 new authors being added monthly. Constantly updated as new books are published and prizes won. Searchable by author (including critics), genre, nationality, gender, publisher, book title, date of publication and prize name and date. The site also contains news about major British Council literary events

Reader Development for Literature Reading Kit
This Reading Kit provides session plans for Reading Circle meetings: dealing with the novels The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon, and Refugee Boy by Benjamin Zephaniah. There are 10 sessions for each book.
