AYOT LITERARY FESTIVAL
24 June - 26 June 2011

The 2011 programme comprises events for adults and children, with the theme for adult events being intelligent, entertaining discussion, with writers covering a broad range of subjects and of course, their latest book. Children’s events will be fun and inspiring, and audience participation will be encouraged.

Confirmed authors include Barbara Erskine, Will Hutton, Conn Iggulden, Jane Johnson, Prue Leith, Alexander McCall Smith, Adele Parks, Tony Parsons, Simon Scarrow and Darren Shan.

BROADSTAIRS DICKENS FESTIVAL
19 - 25 June 2011

A mixed arts family festival inspired by the works of Charles Dickens. Literature events include the Festival Play Hard Times, readings and talks. Other events include Victorian parades, cricket match, bathing parties, music hall entertainment, duels, melodramas and guided walks.

LEOMINSTER FESTIVAL

The 'all arts' Leominster Festival was inaugurated in 1980 around a performance by the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra, who have been an essential part of the Festival and the Leominster scene ever since.

LOWDHAM BOOK FESTIVAL
18 - 25 June 2011

A festival including nationally-known fiction and non-fiction writers, poets, plays and music. In addition to the public events there is an associated schools programme and a year-round programme of literary events in the village. Further details for 2008 are not yet available.

STRATFORD-UPON-AVON-POETRY-FESTIVAL

Sponsored by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. It comprises a mixture of established contemporary poets reading their own work, and well-known actors, mainly from the Royal Shakespeare Company, reading verse on different themes or concentrating on past poets.
