Application guidelines:
This scheme is open to all practising artists or artist collectives working in the field of visual arts, as well as art students of undergraduate level or above. You must have demonstrable experience of having studied or practised in the UK in order to be eligible.
Applications are to be made by sending the enclosed application form, supporting visual material and documents, and a list of visuals. Applications are to be made by each individual, and only one is required per collective.
Please submit documentation for up to 5 artworks per artist (any medium acceptable) in one or more of the following formats: 35mm slide, transparencies, CD, DVD (Region 2 format for PC), VHS (Pal format).
The committee is only able to watch the first 5 minutes of any footage, please therefore feel free to edit your material. CDs should be PC formatted and works saved as JPEG images; each image should be at least 72 dpi and less than 1MB. Please do not send original or unique works.
Please make sure that all material is properly labelled with titles, dates and name of artists, failure to do this may mean it is not considered. You may include up to 3 publications and 5 press reviews/articles per artist in your application. Please do not forget to include a list of visuals. Make sure that any additional information or links to web-based material is included on your application form.
Slides and other documentation are sent entirely at the applicant's risk and will be returned once the application has been considered if you include a SAE. Where acknowledgement of the application's receipt is required, a self-addressed postcard should be included.
The selected artists will be notified by the 31 August.
