I am a UK artist, and want to tour abroad – can you help?
Please see our What We Do page for a description of how we decide which artists to support and work with. If we are unable to help, you could check with the Arts Council who have some funding initiatives for international arts projects and Euclid who provide an international funding enquiry service.

I am a student from overseas and would like to study the arts in the UK
We have some specialist information on Arts Education within the various art form sections which you can find here: www.britishcouncil.org/arts-education-and-training-artform-education.htm but the most complete resource about all types of study in the UK, including arts, is on the main British Council education site: www.educationuk.org.

How do I get an arts job at the British Council, or work as an intern?
See our jobs page for more information.
I’m a student and I want to do research on the British Council. Can I send you a questionnaire/interview you?
An increasing number of students are doing arts or company research as part of courses and there are now so many that we are no longer able to answer these sorts of enquiries. However, there is some information that can be found on our website, such as in the What We Do section which provides an overview of the aims of the British Council Arts group.
I want to get in touch with a UK artist, can you give me their address?
We can’t give out the addresses of our contacts.  If you want to get in touch with an artist, check first on a search engine to see if they have their own website, or write to their publisher or agent asking them to forward a message.  In a very few cases we may be able to forward a letter, but it is up to the artist whether they choose to reply.
