Arts For Development

Development is a very broad term - it does not just imply work in the developing world, but also social change, environmental and urban regeneration that can happen in almost any country in the world.  The arts work described in this section are therefore eclectic, but united in working towards an explicit social end.  Participation of non-artists and specific social groups is often a strong component of these projects.

These pages give an overview of the UK's experience in arts work which has a social development aspect, and describe some of the projects we are touring internationally that contribute to social change.
