Film Festivals

UK and International Screen Entrepreneur Awards
These awards highlight the work of the most talented young entrepreneurs in the screen sector, recognising the important role they play in keeping the screen industries alive and thriving.
Creative Collaboration: Script & Story
Script & Story is a new script editing project designed to create a pool of trained script advisers across south east Europe. The first of four workshops took place during Sarajevo International Film Festival in August.
European Film Promotion
We represent the UK as part of European Film Promotion (EFP). Our two main activites are Shooting Stars showcasing young actors and Producers on the Move highlighting young European producers.
Best of British Award at Encounters Film Festival
As part of our work supporting British short film makers and nurturing new talent, the British Council sponsors the Best of British Award at the Encounters Film Festival, held in Bristol, UK.
British Animation Awards
The British Council is one of the sponsors of the British Animation Awards. The seventh bi-annual ceremony was held on 13 March 2008 at BFI Southbank in London.
