A very exciting programme of UK New Writing events partnered by the British Council took place Sat 31 May and Sun 1 June 2003 in Ljubljana, Slovenia as part of the Exodus Festival.
The programme included performances and events by some of the most interesting artists on the British new writing scene, linking with Slovenian practitioners and audiences in diverse ways. Vicky Featherstone directed Slovenian actors in a rehearsed reading of Caryl Churchill's A Number; Paines Plough performed their extraordinary Tiny Dynamite, and the Red Room toured their controversial Stitching - with Anthony Neilson starring in his own play for the first time.
