Digital Runway Mexico
In August 2002 UK fashion designer Simon Thorogood showed his Digital Runway at the official launch of the British Council's newest teaching centre in Mexico City.

Digital Runway is a collaboration between Simon Thorogood and Suzanne Lee and Benedict Sheehan of UK digital media group Spore, using touch sensitive technology to release a series of images across a projection screen.

Suzanne Lee, a fashion designer from Spore presented a lecture on wearable technology and Simon continued this work by leading a workshop on fashion technology and giving a lecture on alternative ways to design fashion. These activities introduced students to the opportunities for technology and fashion to work together.

In the last few years the British Council in Mexico has seen an increasing interest in British fashion and design among young people in the country. The local office hopes these events increase interest in the UK and to the Council's educational activities.
