The presence of eight UK artists, including Reckless Sleepers, Pacitti Company and Mat Fraser, at a major European festival of live art in Brussels this November, is proof positive of the UK’s lead in the live art field.

Hosted by Les Halles des Schaerbeek, the festival will provide an opportunity to promote the newest and most exciting talent from the UK live art scene to Belgian audiences. To accompany the program, the British Council and Les Halles des Schaerbeek will coordinate a series of networking events bringing together key arts promoters and organisations from around the region, and host a public discussion on British live art.

Live art from the UK is flourishing in Belgium at the moment; Forced Entertainment premiered its latest work there and Lone Twin held a month-long residency at the Kunsten Festival des Arts last year.
