Akram Khan - Vertical Road
Multi award-winning choreographer and dancer Akram Khan toured his contemporary ensemble work, Vertical Road, with the support of the British Council in Lebanon and Palestine during April and May 2011. Inspired by his previous work in the Middle East, Khan has assembled a multicultural cast of exciting performers for Vertical Road, with a specially commissioned score by composer Nitin Sawhney. Long Horizons & Moving Arts
We have worked in partnership with Julie's Bicycle on the Long Horizons and Moving Arts publications, which examine different elements of the relationship between the arts and climate change.

The UK dance scene is full of exciting new work - whether dance drawing on the street scene, Asian Kathak dance fusions or sleek contemporary ballet, there is a vast range of styles to enjoy. So if you want to find out more about UK dance then you've come to the right place.

We work across all forms of dance - from contemporary dance and live art to more classical forms. We work with our overseas network of arts managers and partners to plan, resource, deliver and evaluate high-impact arts projects involving UK artists. Our aims are to promote new images of the UK, to establish long-term partnerships abroad and to attract young adult audiences.
