Pre-Raphaelite Photography |

 |
This exhibition features facsimile sepia photographs from the period 1850-75 representing the work of photographers who had aesthetic and pictorial links with the painters of the Pre-Raphaelite movement.
The photographers, selected by Dr Michael Bartram, include Henry White, Francis Frith, Roger Fenton, Lady Hawarden, Henry Peach Robinson, Lewis Carroll, Francis Bedford, David Wynfield and Julia Margaret Cameron.
Reproductions of 19 paintings by artists such as Millais, Rossetti and Holman Hunt accompany the photographs, setting the exhibition in a wider context of the Pre-Raphaelite movement as a whole.
