Who We Are

Our work

This website cannot begin to show all the projects and activities we are involved in, although you can find many examples on our Arts homepage and in our art form sections. These examples will give a sense of how our arts and creative economy work relates to our strategic priorities.

The British Council does not offer support to arts and creative economy work that is unlikely to contribute to the development of cultural relations between the UK and the rest of the world. The scope of our work may give the impression that we have a vast budget for the arts, but this is not so. Support from businesses, governments, sponsors and partners is absolutely vital in allowing us to continue our work internationally.
