OUR DVD CLUB

If you are a resource centre member, you can come to our DVD club every two weeks, where you can see a British DVD and find out more about the background and language of the DVD.  At each showing, our English Language Support Manager will give a short presentation on the main themes of the DVD and there are materials to take away for everyone.  Our DVD showings include romance, action films, historical films, films for children……………just about everything!

Using Information Technology
You can find out more about information technology – computers, databases, websites and more – at our regular presentations on how to use our online databases to help you with your research, your English language learning and finding out more about the wider world.

Story telling for children
Our resource centre organises story telling sessions in English for children from six to sixteen and their teachers, with exciting competitions and prizes. If you are a resource centre member, you are welcome to bring your children to the sessions and if you are a school teacher please contact us.

You can find out much more about the UK as part of our Virtual UK programme – our Resource Centre Manager, Inessa Muradyan will help you to see the UK in a new way and find out more information using our unique online resources.
