The course is delivered using Moodle (a web-based environment for delivering course content and managing students) and is intended for moderated courses with a trained emoderator or self-access use.
Each unit of the online course consists of:
articles, videos and presentations on the uses of learning technologies |
teaching ideas, lesson plans, ‘how to’ tutorials |
forums and wikis for participants to collaborate in |
exercises to test and extend knowledge |
links to further resources |
opportunities for reflection and learning through practice |
an end-of-level quiz to test the learning outcomes have been met. |
The self-access course allows participants to access the content in their own time and for their own needs. The content is mostly the same as the moderated course but rather than having an emoderator, the community provides similar sharing and support.
However the course is run, each participant is provided with a user name and password in order to access the Moodle site. Moodle can be accessed by most computers with little difficulty, even on computers with limited bandwidth, though this should be checked before a course opens. There is some content that requires greater bandwidth, for example videos, but it is possible to complete the course without accessing this content.
Applicants interested in the course must fill in the application form (MS Word 109 KB) and send it by email to Lilit Bekaryan .
