The British Council Armenia is happy to launch Steps to Success a teacher-friendly programme for newly-developed professionals in teaching. The course is an in-service course ideally designed for English language teachers who are in their final year of pre-service study are in their first two years of full-time teaching English. The course is mapped to Continues Professional Development framework.
Should you be a starting language teacher in the English Language Teaching sector aspiring to discover more on the nuts and bolts of teaching or are enrolled in your final year of pre-service study, then this course is for you. It will help you make the transition from newly qualified to developing teacher less painful, as it helps teachers put theory into practice enhancing the initial knowledge and experience gained from initial teacher training.

The course is made up of the following components

a minimum of 35 hours of training comprising ten modules available online |

fully comprehensive tutors' notes with detailed guides for portfolio tasks |
 |
 |
 |
modules with video, activities, portfolio tasks, a downloadable module summary and further reading/internet links |

 |
portfolio task checklist for both participants and tutors |
 |
 |
 |
assessment criteria, assessment templates and a tutor forum |
In order to complete the course and to receive a certificate for STS participants must pass 22 of the 26 of the portfolio tasks.
A course certificate is issued on successful participation of the course and completion of the portfolio. Steps to Success costs 35 000 AMD.
