English Language Centre start up programme

The British Council is committed to the development of high quality English language schools and programmes. For this reason, the British council would like to invite interested parties to a course designed to help entrepreneurs set up English languages centres and services. During the three-day course, international experts will lead sessions designed to assist with:

  • writing a business plan from mission statement to considerations of facilities, materials and human resources.
  • developing all pedagogical materials and practices based on established European frameworks.
  • creating a Quality Assurance system and establishing Algeria’s first independent Quality Assurance committee and association.
  • profiling the potential customer base and identifying the best products and services available internationally for the Algerian context.
  • developing recruitment and human resource practices and materials

The course will take place form the 29th until the 31st of January

Following this course, participants will be supported by the British Council via a consultation service to ensure the successful development of your programmes.

The course will be offered free of charge but places will be severely limited. For this reason we ask that only persons or organisations who are serious and committed to setting up a school or a programme in the near future should apply. All applications should be sent to alginfo@britishcouncil.org and include a description of your intentions to develop your programme.
