ACCA Qualification is composed of 14 exams, which are divided into two levels as follows:

PROFESSIONAL (5 exams in total)

Passing the exams is a huge achievement. But it's only half the story. You will also need to gain three years' practical experience before, during or after your studies to achieve membership and use the "ACCA" letters after your name.

The first step is to register with ACCA as a student. This can be done online at http://www.accaglobal.com/join/register/.

Initial registration costs GBP 69; annual fee for 2010 is GBP 69 and are payable on 1 January of every year.

Exam Fees for 2011

  Knowledge papers - GBP 57 per paper

  Skills papers - GBP 72 per paper

  Professional papers - GBP 84 per paper

Exemptions

A maximum number of 9 exemptions can be claimed. This will depend on how closely your previous qualifications match the content of the ACCA syllabus.

Registering with ACCA - supporting documents

Please print the PDF file of the on-line registration

a photocopy of your ID card or passport
a passport size colour photograph
a copy of your marriage certificate if name on ID card/passport is different
education documents (for exemptions)
copy of a university diploma
OR a copy of a certificate from a professional body or other relevant institution

Official translations are needed where documents are not in English.

All exams are written and take place twice a year, always in June and December.

In order to sit exams in December 2011, you must register by 15 August 2011.

For exams in June 2011, the registration deadline is 31 December 2010, all documents must be sent to ACCA Glasgow by that time.
