EUROPEAN WEEK 2nd -9th of May 2007

EU integration- What does it mean?
In the framework of the European Week British Council in collaboration with British Embassy, BBC and Top Channel organised a television debate on the EU integration theme on the 8th of May. The aim was to have a non-party-political discussion of what European Integration and eventual EU membership will mean for young Albanians, focusing on the bigger picture and the longer term, rather than the immediate politics of the moment related to integration. It was a chance for young Albanians (students from private and public universities) to ask the experts (both Albanian and International) questions on a range of issues related to this.

BULLET BOY
Brief synopsis:
This contemporary drama highlights a theme increasingly hitting the headlines in the UK, gun crime among young black men. It also spotlights a growing problem across Europe, disillusioned and unfocused young men turning away from mainstream society to find their own solutions which can sometimes spiral beyond their control.    In doing this, it tells a universal story of two boys' journey into adulthood and the human cost of senseless bravado.
