The British Council is the world’s leading provider of high quality English Language Training services for the private sector. With over 1750 trainers worldwide operating in 53 countries, we reach more than 325,000 students globally.

In Sub-Saharan Africa, the British Council operates in Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania, Rwanda, Mozambique and Ethiopia. This vast regional experience gives us a profound understanding of local customs and language learning needs.

The British Council South Sudan is opening its first courses to the public in July 2013. We understand the growing need for individuals to enhance their lives, careers and opportunities through English Language Proficiency. Our courses are designed to meet the language learning needs of individual students for both personal and professional development.

British Council Courses

British Council Course Quality

The British Council is a learning organization. We believe in promoting and developing learning environments, not just for our students, but for all of our staff and clients as well.

That’s why we are dedicated to enhancing online learning portals, discussion forums and articles. We believe that experience is valuable, and that learning from this experience and sharing it with others is key to our development as an instrument for civil society.

All of our teachers engage with professional development, through clear and coherent action plans, in order to better meet the need of their students. Teachers perform observations, host workshops and conduct action research in our centres to ensure that we never stop asking questions, and that we find innovative and creative answers to these.

British Council Trainers
We are the largest training organisation operating internationally and we are globally recognised as a world leader in English language development and communication skills training. All British Council trainers are accredited and certified by Cambridge University and have a minimum of two-years full time classroom teaching experience. We deliver over 1 million classroom-teaching hours per year across the globe, helping individuals and organizations to realize their potential through intercultural communication.
Public Course Costing

The British Council endeavours to provide the greatest value for money possible, while upholding our commitment to quality and service delivery excellence.

Public Courses start at 600USD per person for 60 hours of instruction. These can be delivered intensively, over six weeks, or semi-intensively over three months, depending on your needs. The courses will run from 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week.

The British Council will open courses with a minimum of twelve students per class, and a maximum of sixteen. This decision is informed by our goal of maximising the opportunities for interaction and real communication in a class, as well as being able to monitor and feed back on the progress of each individual.
