Our Teaching Centre has some of the most highly qualified EFL teachers in Senegal, a wealth of resources and a variety of programmes to choose from. We are the organisation best placed to help you achieve your goals.

What courses can I take?

We offer general English courses to help you improve your chances of success professionally and personally. The range of courses includes: all levels of General English, Business English courses and exam preparation. We also run tailor made programmes on (e.g. Communication & Business English, Leadership), delivered in the workplace for our growing number of corporate clients.

As a student on our Adult English language courses you have free use of the Resource Centre for the duration of your course where you have free internet access and can use a wide selection of software for self study in English.

After your placement test, we will advise you on the best course for you.

Adult General English - Expand your communication skills and improve your grammar and vocabulary
Adult Business English Level 4 - Intermediate
Adult Business English Level 5 – Upper-Intermediate
Conversation Class 3 – Pre- Intermediate level
Conversation Class 4 - Intermediate level
Conversation Class 5 – Upper-Intermediate level

Course times

Our Teaching Centre operates from Monday to Friday. Note that some classes may be cancelled and depend on demand. Courses are currently offered at these times:

Adult General English and Business English Monday to Friday, 1000 - 1200, 1600 - 1800, and 1815 - 2015
Corporate clients Class times can be during normal office working hours or, subject to negotiation, according to your requirements and trainer availability.
Conversation classes Every Saturday 1000 - 1200

WHERE ARE THE COURSES HELD?
All classes are held at the British Council, Rue AAB-68, Amitié Zone B, BP6232, Dakar, Senegal.
WHO ARE THE TEACHERS?
All our teachers are professionally qualified and experienced in teaching English as a foreign language. Teachers aim to create a relaxed and productive environment where you can learn to use English in real-life work and social situations.
HOW DO I REGISTER?

If you are a new student you will need to take a placement test before enrolling in one of our courses. This involves a written test and a speaking test with one of our teachers. Following the test we will match your language needs and learning requirements to a suitable class. Placement testing happens during registration.

Placement tes 10,000 FCFA
Adult General English 110,000 FCFA
Business English 110,000 FCFA
Conversation class 53,000 FCFA
HOW DO I PAY?
Payments for courses must be paid in full before your course starts. You can pay by cheque or cash. We will give you more details when you come in to do the placement test. Once you have paid you will be issued with a receipt detailing the time and location of your course, your student ID number and your class teacher.
