NOTICE: Whilst we do offer IELTS preparation courses, our nearest IELTS examination centres are in Ghana, Morocco and Nigeria.
English
Learn English online: we offer francophone versions of the LearnEnglish websites - in the purpose of encouraging the use of ICT to learn English.
Teaching English by radio: we run a series of 12 15-minute programmes for English teachers, in resource-poor environments, which combines effective teaching with social themes. The radio programmes are supported by supplementary learning materials (CD and print).
Hornby School: we run a training programme for trainers of English teachers in Senegal and Francophone West Africa countries financed by the Hornby Trust and developed by the British Council.
Education & Society
Connecting Classrooms: our school partnership programme that promotes intercultural dialogue through three-way partnerships between schools in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Premier Skills: a football partnership programme defined by the Premier League in collaboration with the British Council that aims at developing coaching, teaching and English Language skills among local community coaches.
Professional development: we tailor-make professional development courses for enterprises and individuals seeking to improve their managerial, leadership, self-confidence and personal skills in order to achieve better work results. Read more in English and in French. View upcoming courses.

Creative Enterprise: A business skills training programme for young Africans who have recently started or are about to start a business in the creative sector in Sub-Saharan Africa including: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda.
