Connecting Classrooms

Justice Sector Development Programme
We work with the Government of Sierra Leone to enable access to affordable justice, support for the rule of law, prevention of further conflict, and improved safety and security for the people of Sierra Leone.

Development Partnerships in Higher Education (Delphe)
This project enables higher education institutions to act as catalysts for poverty reduction and sustainable development.

International Health Links Funding Scheme
This project strengthens the capacity of health services in developing countries by creating links between UK and Sierra Leone hospitals and  training institutions.

Climate change in schools
Our schools environment club supports young people to find practical ways to mitigate the effects of climate change and environmental damage.

Governance and youth projects
We have a network of contacts in the education, governance and youth sector who we have worked with on women's empowerment, anti violence campaigning and media training amongst others. We are happy to give advice and share information.

Our EO&D policy:
British Council has an Equal Opportunity and Diversity strategy. We are keen to reflect the diversity of Sierra Leone and the UK in all our programmes.
