British Council administers various UK scholarships on behalf of organisations such as the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission and The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Not all Scholarships are offered in all countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.  Please visit each scholarship’s page or contact your local British Council office for more information.

Chevening scholarships
Are you under 35 and experienced in your chosen career? This prestigious award could fund your studies and create worldwide opportunities.
From 1 April 2012, the British Council ceased to be the administrator of the Chevening Scholarships programme and will no longer be able to deal with Chevening enquiries. For more information on applying for a Chevening Scholarship please go to the Chevening Scholarships page.

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIPS

Mansion House Scholarship
Are you a student or young business executive with a passion for financial services? The Mansion House Scholarship Scheme can help you travel to the United Kingdom to study, train or gain work experience in the Financial Services Sector.
Tullow Group Scholarship Scheme
The Tullow Group Scholarships Scheme is a partnership between the British Council and Tullow Oil. It supports up to full scholarships in postgraduate degree, technical training and vocational studies in the UK relevant to the oil and gas industry.
