Do you want to earn an academic qualification from a leading UK institution? The British Council administers exams on behalf of many UK universities and colleges, making distance learning possible around the world. HOW DO I REGISTER?

Registration is made directly with the University you are interested in. You can request application forms directly from the University or download applications forms on their websites. Only University of London, after downloading and filling the forms bring the forms to the nearest British Council office.

WHAT ARE THE FEES?

You can download the fees list from respective websites. You will however be required to pay and administration fee of MWK 18 000.00 at the British Council depending on the agreement with the University. You are advised to confirm this with your University or the nearest British Council office.

HOW DO I PAY?

Make your payment at any Standard Bank branch using British Council customised deposit slips and submit a copy of the deposit slip at British Council office as proof of payment.

Where will I sit my exams?

Exams take place at British Council’s Blantyre and Lilongwe offices.

What should I take to the exam?

Bring your ID e.g. passport or driving licence plus your notification letter from the board.

WHEN WILL I GET MY RESULTS?

These are announced by the University and will be communicated to you directly.

We feel sure you will understand, however, that we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. If examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as possible. The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later date. All fees are valid for the current registration period only and are subject to change. Please check the relevant web pages for the latest fees before registering for the next session of exams.
